Please join us for our annual club Christmas party at the beautiful Lollar Home.
What to Bring: a side dish, salad or dessert to share.
Optional: a small wrapped or bagged dog related gift-item for our gift exchange.
We eat potluck style at our Christmas party and this year will be no exception. Please bring a side or dessert or appetizer to share. We also have a fun gift exchange that you are welcome to participate in. This year instead of setting a minimum dollar limit on the gift exchange we encourage club members to buy dog related item(s) to exchange. Club members said that they found it nearly impossible to find a fun gift under $15, as was the limit in years past, so we have done away with the minimum.
Also, we will have a club meeting at the Christmas party and this will be the last chance to nominate officers.
Please let us know whether you are attending or not by RSVPing with Beth Reynolds at beth.reynolds@rmgsd.org. If you plans to attend, please let beth know what you will be bringing for the potluck.
We are going to have a joint meeting of clubs on the 21st of July at Patty Korsch's home. Training will start at 10 am with conformation first, followed by rally/obedience. We will also be discussing the upcoming national show and will be discussing the club's responsibility at the national. We will be looking for volunteers to help out with the national, you can volunteer at the meeting or contact Patty directly. Patty and Ron will supply the hamburgers and hot dogs, buns and condiments. If you want to just bring a side dish or desert. Bring a chair to sit in and the club will have bottled water. The Board is trying to find locations around the Denver area to hold our meetings to accommodate our club members. Any suggestions of Libraries, restaurants, club houses etc. would be appreciated.
At the regular club meeting, the guest speaker will be talking about her Canine Freeze Dried Plasma project and the need for volunteer blood plasma from our dogs.
We will also be discussing the spring shows/futurity, training, and rally/obedience trials for 2018 and soliciting ideas for club activities/meetings.
I would like to REALLY encourage those members who can to attend since we have a guest speaker this month. Not only is plasma important for injured dogs, but also for immediate support to puppies that are struggling. Hope you all can make it!
